The model looks great, Gregory! I remember experiencing some trouble closing the smaller domes, as the petals were a bit too broad near the tips. I opted to fill the gaps with a part glued below, as you can check in the picture. It looks that you choose to slightly overlap the petals near the tip and it also worked well.
I agree with recommending the kit: the graphics are just excellent, and the fit is almost trouble free.

This squared dome was easy to assemble for me, because in one of the large petals had a square attached to it, so I could easily attach the 3 other petals to it. Also, according to the instrucions, the smaller petals are supposed to overlap the larger ones a little.
