Bedzin Castle / Poland - GPM - 1:160
Hello everyone
After the delicate work on my lightship, there is now something bigger. My new construction report is again about architecture, namely the Polish castle in Bedzin. The cover picture shows a beautifully built model. The construction instructions are written in Polish, plus four black and white pictures of the model. Six construction sketches complement the written construction instructions. Very clean printing of the stone wall look, plus reserve in wall and lawn look. There are around 460 parts on ten sheets, plus six sheets with around 40 frame parts. I'm also thinking about designing the landscape all around again. Kind regards, Kurt ![]() |

And off we go.
![]() First make a basic frame, which is reinforced with 1 mm cardboard... the additional reinforcements make the basic structure really stable. The inner courtyard, NOTE! Parts B/C do not exist, they are integrated into part A. I reinforce part A with 0.5 mm cardboard... and cut out work openings. Kind regards, Kurt ![]() |

Next...
Now part 1, the courtyard, glued on... base plate connected to the basic structure... ... without reinforcements the segment would be very unstable, but this way it is really compact! ![]() Now for wall part 2. Since the glue tabs are very narrow, I widen them where there is space... windows and doors cut out. Kind regards, Kurt ![]() |

An important king's castle, built to defend the then Polish southern border together with many other castles.
The row of these fortresses was nicknamed "Casimirian castles" ("Zamek Kazimierzowski", plural "Zamki Kazimierzowskie") due to the king Casimir the Great who ordered to rebuilt most of the Polish strongholds at the end of the fourteenth century, and thus was known as the ruler who "found Poland made of wood and left it made of stone". I will be following your construction closely!

Hello everyone,
after a short break due to acute bronchitis which kept me in bed for three days, I'm back to work now The roof is too clean for me, so I dry-dirt it...prepared reinforcements... ...and glued the roof...inserted reinforcements into the roof peak, but left an edge free for the tabs... ...assembled the roof...and put it on, it fits! Kind regards, Kurt ![]() |
