Hello, everybody

This is my current build. Actually, the work was started about 3 years ago, but for some reasons I had to freeze the project.. And a couple of weeks ago I returned to the Fokker

Here are the photos of how the model looked like when I stopped

p.s. sorry for the quality of the photos.

Working on the engine cowling
I painted it with acrylic metallic matt lacquer to get any non-coincidences more visible and use sandpaper to smooth the edges.
After that the side parts were glued. As you see, I had to cut out those parts in different way because of the wing profile. May be it's my mistake..

Added some parts to get more realistic looking and again acrylic lacquer ;)

yes, you're right, for free models the cut-outs look great. Modele Kartonowe is an interesting site.
Your Fokker looks very realistic ;) I wish I could build such a model

Looks great! And thanks for the pictures of the wing laminations, I'm about to start on a set of similar wings and those pics are most helpful.

It sure looks amazing!!!

I can see you put a windshield... how you did it?

Also the tires are great.

The details are superb!

Hi guys
Thank you all :)

@ milenio3
I used transparent folio, cut it with the shape of the windshield, given in cut-outs

I see a number of things that you did different in construction then I did, and yours looks awesome. I even had three kids helping me! I am going to give this model another try, I like it a lot, and after seeing your, I am inspired!

Yes, you're right. I think using different than paper materials gives more realistic view. Unfortunately, my Fokker isn't flawless, specially the tail part of the fuselage.. I can say for sure, 3 years ago my abilities for modeling weren't so good..
When I look at it, I can see a big difference between the front and the tail parts of the fuselage.. but.. generally, it looks good :)
