I think this is very good work.

The close-up photos reveal some very minor misalignments (not big mistakes), but overall, you are doing good, careful, and clean work and I would be very happy to be able to build a model that looked like this.

Thank you for sharing these photos.

Thank you, thank you for showing this model, I have not seen a build thread on it and you clearly show that it is indeed Halinsky!! Good work, none of us can build perfectly, well, maybe Yu or Johnny or... anyway, great plane and thanks for showing this!

This is a great model. Typical Halinski where everything fits perfectly. I love it.

I did a build thread on this over at Zealot some time back. But this current build is very fine.

Hello.
I'm back with my little plane building. It's sad for me because I can't spent too much time for this model so progress is very small. So here you go a list of things I have done :D.
1. I have finished wheels. I wanted to meke them like dirty or something like dusty.
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk261/robis16/P1020131.jpg

2. I'm working on propeler. So here some photos.

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk261/robis16/P1020130.jpg

4. I have made a good progress on the engine. But still it has left a lot of small details.

very nice job, the weathering on the tires are particularly interesting, by the way, what do you use to color the edges of the paper?

Thanks buffalowings. I use oil pastels to color the edges of the paper. I have a quite good set of 50 sticks and color palette is quite large choise of colors.
But I also use revell and humbrol enamel.

Hi.
I have some good news. My plane is nearly finished. Chassis wasn't wery dificult but air filter I hate it. I made one big misstake from 12 parts. Overall I love this model. Building it is quite easy but it has tricky places. So here some photos how it looks right now.

Just caught up with this build, Shelby. You're doing great work on this Bf-109. No small feat with the engineering that goes into the usual Halinski kit. Look forward to seeing the completed plane and engine.

For some reason, I've just found this thread as well. Not sure how I could have missed it. You're doing a super job on a fine model. I still haven't worked my skills up to this level (maybe I never will) and it's a real treat to see these detailed kits come together.

Hello. I just finish my model. I can say that this model is best model I ever made and A. Halinsky deserve a medal for this design. This messerchmitt was my first Halinsky and I think that not the last. So photos.

Outstanding work Shelby! No doubt Halinski did a good job in designing the kit, but you my friend deserve the medal for such a fine build.

Great build and photos! The first two photos show what a great job you did matching the real thing. Halinski detail + skilled builder = museum quality model.

Beautiful build, Shelby!
Entire model is impressive but the canopy, air intake and manifold pipes are extra special.

beautiful beautiful beautiful

if you ever get the chance, watch the episodes of an older TV series starring the actor Robbie Coltrane
...I think it was called "Robbie Coltrane's Planes Trains and Automobiles"

One of the episodes features a German guy, who has a large barn or outbuilding full of every Messerchmitt fighter engine that is left in the world! Apparently he has collected them all over many many decades. He was rebuilding some, had some for parts, I think they even started one up in the barn...its been a long time since I saw the show, but I remember all the fascinating bits in this part of the show!
