That is known as the Beechcraft model 18 or the C-45 Expediter (Secret Navy Bomber):p
I don't remember seeing a paper kit for it although there is probably one out there somewhere.

Looks like a Beechcraft Model 18 (C-45 in the USAF). Just saw one at an airshow last weekend.

Yea, is that the plane used to rescue the Gilligan Island crew? I never saw the series finale.

Would be a cool repaint if a model exists.

Seems like the only one available is this:

Beech C-45 Expeditor 1:72 - PM Model (http://www.moduni.de/product_info.php/products_id/7860304)

7,49 Euros = $11.18 USD.

Beech 18. Don't know about a paper model, but PM Model of Turkey makes one in plastic, 1/72nd scale, that's reasonably priced.

Oh, wow. Plastic. So it is and so it says right on the link I sent. Well to my defense I found it through Phil's paper model search engine, but I guess I didn't read close enough.

Seems like we'll have to add it to the design wanted list.

Battleaxe has a kit in 1/48 but it's very expensive
BX4803 - BX4803 Beechcraft 18 (http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=BX4803)

BTW there was also a trainer version called the AT-11

Check out the time stamp- we sent our replies at about the same time, and they came in one right after the other.

Agree- a paper kit, with some interior detail, would be great. Maybe a DGA? There's tons of options- lot's of military schemes, not just U.S., TONS of civilian schemes, there were floatplane versions (one is seen in the movie "The Phantom"), trike conversions, turbine conversions- very versatile airframe.

Not a bad start ... have you assembled a test build yet? Pictures?

Can you recolor and resize that one for me, please? I would really like a USAF version like the one my father flew.

BTW, Minicraft made a nice kit in 1/72 that I did build for my father before he died. I still have it.
