Australian Dingo Scout Car - 1942

Hi all!

It's time for a new model, number 7, and a totally new subject. This time it's not interwar! After completing my vickers medium tank in australian service I decided to search for another model of this "modelling forgotten" country

My searches take me to the Dingo scout car, an armoured vehicle that I consider very good looking. It was builded in hurry to equip australian armored divisions during WWII but never saw combat duty and was limited to home defence. Important: It's not to bee confused with the british Dingo produced by daimler, a totally different vehicle that Roman Vasilyev ( der kampfflieger ) has recently (masterly) designed.

Another news: it is available at ecardmodels shop at this link

1/48 and 1/72 Australian Dingo WW2 Armored Car Paper Model - ECardmodels.com Shop - Downloadable

This is an experiment for me cause it's my first not free model, but I reassure you that I have some other free projects in mind ( do not be too angry :D )

In the (same) kit there are:
-Two paint schemes ( green and camo )
-Two scales ( 1:72 and 1:48 )
-Optional armament ( bren LMG )
-Optional full interior
-Model History and building schemes
-Full customer service ( yeah... I'm joking... but I'll be at disposal for everyone who need help in building or schemes... just send me a PM )

I think it's all... now some pictures

Alberto

PS: any comment welcome as usual

Excellent, Alberto! You are doing some fine work with these armored fighting vehicles. I will be happy to pay for this model.

There are some images of a real Dingo Scout Car at RAAC Puckapunyal - AMMS Brisbane.

if you want to extend the Australian theme you'll have to do a Sentinel or Yeramba.

Looks like you've captured the look of the Dingo very well.

Regards,

Charlie

That's a cool looking bit of armor, with a lot of room to further dress it up.

A very clean and nice looking build.

One thing I wanted to point out was that he designed these using techniques learned in Romans book
