Voroshilovets heavy howitzer - 1/25 - model design and build

Hello,

I finished my last projects and it is time to start new one. I saw beautiful models on model exhibition in Warsaw January this year. It were Voroshilovets artillery prime mover with the B4 howitzer. That time I promised myself to design and build these models from paper in 1/25 scale. As you know already Modelik released a few weeks ago B4 howitzer. But so far the artillery mover for this howitzer is missing. So, it is something for me.

I see that most challenging parts will be suspension, roof and radiator because of complexity and shape. As a baseline for this project I'll use drawings published in Russian magazine M-hobby 04-2011. I started to design this tractor a few days ago and I have a few first drawings ready. I started from wheels and suspension. After several hours I made complete suspension.

Next components should be simple and next drawings I should present in next days.

Regards,

Michal

Great start with the running gear - if you wanted to do a tank the T-24 tank used the same running gear.

The resin Voroshilovets is a good looking model but seriously expensive. There's a nearly complete one at AMMS Brisbane.

Regards,

Charlie

Seems to be I finished lower part of the tractor. Suspension with all wheels, body with all covers, rivets, hooks and other details are ready:

To really finalize the lower part I'm going to add tracks now.

Michal

Tracks are ready. Went fast because they are simple, not too many elements.

It's time to start working on upper part of the tractor, cabin or cargo body.
