Large artillery models.
I think after the first of the year I'd like to settle into a year long project like one of the big german guns. My question is this; does anyone know of any 1/25 scale paper models of any of the big guns, besides the Leopold that GPM puts out?

Wish I knew of some, trhough I would prefer American and/or English artillery pieces.

Modelik released the B4 howitzer not too long ago. That's not as big as a railgun, but still rather large.

I know Halinski has a flak 36/37 and a flak 38. I know they aren't very big but still their pretty well known artillery pieces.

Just thought of this, but I bel;ieve Paper Shipyard has a free download of one of the turrents of the USS Arizona avaiable, complete with flaotplane, don't remember the scale but maybe this might be of interest. I believe E-card has a scale muzzleloader, but that is a Davis gun like the one on the download here, only difference is the mounting I believe.

That B-4 looks like it might be a nice build plus it's cheaper. Thanks Mr. Davenport

duditz72,
How "big" a gun are you looking at and are you looking at World War Two or is World War One included? Germany had some mighty fine pieces in the War to End All Wars. Britan had a couple of awesome stationary pieces, also (the US used them, also). Jeff WWI: Landships II articles : Landships II# German 210mm Morser German 42cm M-Gerät L/12 Howitzer (Dicke Bertha) British 9.2-inch Mark I Howitzer WWII: German 210mm Howtizer "a real beauty" |
