Yep, ct, aren't computers wonderful? "To err is human, to really foul things up requires a computer!"

I need to learn how to add rivets digitally so that I can get the look I really want!

Sounds like the next frontier of rivets is how to get the textured appearance in small scales. Modelling rivets seems to be satisfactory in larger scales by one of the sticking, dripping or punching techniques but doing any one of these in small scales is difficult.

Although I never tried this myself, I recall reading and seeing photos of a plastic and resin model technique that involved gluing Kosher salt crystals on the model with white glue and then painting with an airbrush or spray paint. The crystals of the salt commonly known as "Kosher salt" in the United States are larger than table salt crystals (Kosher salt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) and in the smaller scales could pass for rivets, since the white glue would form a fillet around the base of the salt crystal.

Of course, this would take a steady and careful hand and, presumably, the drawing in of guidelines first if the model did not already have rivets printed on.
