Been a bit lax in updating so will bring the Sherman up-to-date although I've been having a rest from the Sherman for a bit
. For the last two weeks and up to the end of this month I will be spending my weekends scrabbling around in the soil looking for Neolithic and Roman archaeology. At the moment I'm helping out on a dig run by Reading University excavating at Marden henge about 10 miles down the road from where I live.www.facebook.com/UoRFieldSchool/timeline

But back to the paper, added catches.

I then made up the inner and outer parts of periscope these actually swivel so needed a bit of fitting to get the discs to sit nicely in the Hatch.

Next made up the components for the the Hatch hinge.

While waiting for the Hatch hinge to dry I fixed the engine Hatch in place first picture shows it closed the second one obviously open.

The hatches placed in the openings to help align hinges. I glue the hinge parts that are fixed to the main tank first, these hinges were little sods to fit thay needed glueing several times.

Hinges seem to glue better to the hatches but a little trimming was necessary for a good fit.
then onto the radiator cover, from the outside.

The inside.

The fixing bolts and filling cap fixed in place.

Radiator cover fixed to the tank and then in the second picture filling cap open.

That's all till August enjoy

Small update but a lot of work. Great to follow. Your work sounds very interesting, in fact I once wanted to become an archaeologist too but ended up as a chemical technologist .
