Lancia 1zm scratchbuild 1/25

Hi everyone,

I should have started the design of mine Andrea Doria battleship in 1/200, but after I saw a wonderfull AB 41 I decide to scratchbuild an "Easy" project (all my Project started as "easy", then they took me 8/9 months to finish).
The Lancia 1zm was the first Italian Armoured car build in series. There were 37 of the 1z (double turret) and 109 of the second one, the 1zm (modified). They partecipated to all the Italian wars of the first half of the XX century: WWI, Lybia reconquest, Ethiopia, Spain and WWII, some were captured and used by the Austrians, other were used by the Germans during the uprisings after WWI and other were used in Yugoslavia after the Italian surrender, some other finished in China, Russia and even in Afghanistain!!
When I saw the model, I said to myself, it's easy, no need of 3d programs, so I started it in the Old way, even if I had to use Sketchup for the design of the joining of the turret with the rear fenders. These are some of the draft draw.

Hi Emanuele,
I was unsure whether to start drawing the Lancia IZM or Fiat Terni (tipo Tripoli)
, ... now the choice is forced!

If you want three-dimensional dwg of Lancia, contact me,
if you have already done so, I follow with interest any developments,
complimenti!!

Hi Matt77,

as a matter of fact, I was thinking at the Fiat Tripoli too!
As you Know, they used a Fiat 15 ter chassis at the beginning and a Spa 25 during WWII. Papermodel of these two truks already exist, even if in their licence form (Amo f15 and Gpm Ursus A)... so the scracthbuilt would be limited to the body and interior. I was looking your AS43... simply fabolous, particularly the Breda 20/65 and the textures, but the tyres are still too thick (Se mi e' permesso).

Have you think about the TL37 in its various form (light truck, Sahariana, autoprotetto and autoblindo)?

Going back to my Lancia, I've some problems with the printing, because my Brother printer is printing everything too dark.

Azz....

Enrico, I'm dealing with a master!

Anyway, sorry for the long delay but I was involved with the final year exams for the middle school (in Italy there is primary, middle and high schools) so I didn't have a single spare time in weeks. This is the engine og the Lancia 1z, to tell the truth is based on the Theta engine, but this car used the 1z engine, and, from the pictures of the wreck found in Afghanistain, it's pretty similar.
