Wow, this is going to be quite an undertaking, but a rewarding one. Nice choice. Your sketch ups look wonderful. Great attention to detail. I look forward to seeing this come together.

My goal is to paint this model as it is on the following schema. Telling the truth it is challenging.

Hello Michal,

Some years ago, I had tried to design the French tank in 1:72 scale (photos attached). After many difficulties, I managed to get an acceptable model but that inappropriate me completely. Especially because of the design of the turret (damn French tanks of the era with their cast turrets )...

I therefore look forward to see how you have solved this problem!
In any case, congratulations for the work already done.

There was a discussion about the scarcity of French armor models a couple of years ago.

Hello,

Here are a few new pictures of my Char B1. The body more or less is ready.

I agree, the turret was and still is a challenge here. The turret what you can see on pictures with renders is fifth or sixth version of it. I hope "paper version" of the turret will be similar as on these pictures.

Hello,

Next a few Picture from battlefield. On the beginning something what stop my work on this project for almost two years. It is front gun armor protection. I had a trouble to find out how to make this element from paper but finally find solution. I needed approximately one hour to glue it:

Next I added a few elements like road wheels' pillars, hatches, covers, louvers and track support elements on the tank body:
