Sorry I can't be more helpful on the engine front.

I have finished the build! The gun went together in two evenings. Not to bad for such a complex part of the kit.

The gun went together well but I do have a few recommendations:

1. Part 136 and 136a I only laminated onto 0.5 mm card instead of 1 mm. This seemed to work better for me.

2. Some of the part numbers seemed miss labeled, It seemed like several different parts shared part numbers and I had to study everything for a while.

3. Thank you for the spare gun barrel parts. they came in handy. My first attempt was not successful. I replaced the main barrel withm plastic rod and wrapped the ends with the paper detailed parts. This worked well for me.

I hope my eforts help to improve this model. I really enjoyed the build and can see myself building it again after all revisions are in place. It really looks brutish. much more so than the closed cab version, I think.

Enjoy the last set of pictures. On to the next project...

Greg

Looks great, Greg. And I enjoyed following your back-and-forth with Mike and the technical inputs from Wayne.

Someday, I'd like to build a CMP 15 cwt in Allied markings. Your experience and that of Tim will be very helpful if I do.

Don

Nice finishup on that Greg.
I send some info to Mike on the Ford V8 and scanned the parts from a Revell 40 Ford engine for basic sizes also. Haven't heard back if that helps them out. Myself even if they don't change the engine, I've got enough 25th scale Ford flatheads around I'll just sub one of them. Actually a local club member was having a model sale today and I bought another 40 Ford kit just in case.

It should help - Mariusz is already working on the new engine for the F15A.
