Hi Charlie, is there a particular book you are getting this info out of? It would be nice to find a volume that covers British interwar armnour development.

The best overview of British interwar tank development is David Fletcher's "Mechanised Force" (1991). Unfortunately it's not easy to get hold of these days. The book isn't strong on technical detail but the historical insight is without peer.

Charlie

Hi,

I worked very hard whole Saturday and half of Sunday on details. I added hatches and other details to the body. But most of the time I spend adding rivets. I added a lot of them but still many left what I'll add in breaks with during wheels making.

My model are shown on the following photos:

and some details:

Easy part is done. I'm going to start working on wheels tomorrow.

Tim,

As a source of rivets I'm using water filter used in water canister, e.g. Brita’s. Using needle or other sharp tools I'm making gently depression in the places where rivets should be placed. I put there small amount of glue (I am using super glue) and then I place here single small ball from canister contents. I'm trying to select correct size of the ball. To pick up the ball I am using the moistened end of a wooden cocktail stick; this will hold it until placed in the hole.

Hello,

I'm working very hard on road wheels. Because this tank has 48 them still it will take some time to finish them:

Meantime I made idler wheels:

and turret (almost):

My Vickers looks like follow:

Hello,

Finally I made road wheels. Telling the truth the wheels were more complicated than I expected and I have to simplify them somehow. Any way 24 pair of wheels x 27 parts = 648 parts left:

I started making next elements of suspension which will connect the road wheels.

So, next step is to connect all of these to get the following element:
