HEY GUYS,
Thanks everybody for the nice comments, I am continuing to work on the MAZ, altho slowly. It's been a while since the last post so I thought I should show you how it's going. I have been working on small componants for the inside of the frame rails, and of course the tires. Photo#1, This photo is of the heater that goes in the forward section of the frame, and what I believe is a filter of some sort. Also in this photo is the fuel tank and the fuel tank rack. Photo #2,and #3, These are the finishing of the brake lines. Photo #4, This is the fuel tank and rack installed. I still have to install all the fuel lines that go with this. Photo #5, The first tire with all the treads installed. Photo #6, And now boys, my first ever completed tire! I have all eight tires built and now I just have to install all the treads. I think this tire turned out great, and I just have to weather it. I will do the weathering when I get all the tires finished. I have no idea how many hours it took to do the treads, but I'm guessing about a thousand hours or so. The treads are being added slowly but shurley and as fill work in the evenings and just whenever. The next chapter is the engine. I will start the engine when I get all the little odds and ends completed that need to done on the frame. Just a few more items and then the engine build can start. More photos later. Thanks All!!

Nice work on those treads and that's a great looking wheel. Having also cut individual treads for most of my models in the last couple of years I can sympathize with you regarding the pain of having to cut and glue all those extra pieces but as you can see, the effort is more than worth it in the end.

Wow! What a wheel. Detail looks solid too.
