Krupp Protze, 1:25, Modelik

Some years ago I build the sIG33 from Answer. For presentation of this model I want a truck as brother and choose the Krupp Protze. The reason for my decision was the strange looking and the interesting technology.

The kit was delivered on 14 pages A4 with parts and 7 pages A4 with description and mounting drawings (without 3D drawings).

At the beginning I work at stage 1 and made some testbuilds.

Chassis frame (with a mounting base of my 3D Printer), countershaft, differantial, knuckle Joint, radial arms of independant suspension, tires, cooling fins at cylinder head.

Stage 1 is already finish. To get a result where all wheels are touching the ground, I made the radial arms of the independant Suspension fully moveable. Every wheel has it's own driving axle with knuckle Joints, so it is necessary to make them moveable too - a real challange.

Now stage one and nearly the complete chassis frame is ready. I made some meaningfull additions. The stearing mechanism is also fully moveable.

The next step to a ready Protze was the motor and gearbox. The muffs for the intake manifolds are selfmade additions.

The motor needs a housing and leads to next step - cowling and driver's cab. The engine hood is removeable and is fixed with very small solenoids (1󪻑 mm). The magnets were hidden in the closures and the edge of the engine hood was made with a small iron wire.

The connection between gearbox and countershaft needs a driving axle with knuckle Joints. For easier assembling I made it moveable - using a tool of paper.

Hi, Henryk!
Thank you for your attention.

With the other parts of the knuckle joints the axle was finished.
