Still a nice looking little model. That canvas top is very well represented.

Assembly is very precise - nice work. I'm not sure about that camouflage though. The pattern looks very Japanese. Hellcats were used by the American army (not marines) in the Pacific theater. I wonder if any were captured. Perhaps it's supposed to be a post war export. I'll have to do some research.

next update is the t34-85 "rudy" from WoPT, based on the Series Four tank-men and a dog was a Polish black and white TV series based on the book by Janusz Przymanowski. Made between 1966 and 1970, It is set in 1944 and 1945, during World War II, and follows the adventures of a tank crew and their T-34 tank in the 1st Polish Army.

The T-34-85 tank Rudy (Ginger) with the identifying number "102", a German Shepherd dog from Siberia Szarik (pronounced "Sharik" - little ball in Russian, a nickname in the vein of "furball"; in Polish the word is similar to Szary meaning gray and szalik meaning scarf) and to a lesser extent the crew Jan Kos, Gustaw Jeleń, Grigorij Saakaszwili, Tomasz Czereśniak, and their commander and mentor Olgierd Jarosz, as well as other heroes of the series, have become icons in Polish popular culture.

Great job on both - the T-38 and the III. I always thought that the Panzer III is proportionally perfect. Another one of my faves that I've yet to build.

Nice.

See what you mean. I probably would have cut them in half and stuck it in a muddy diorama!
