Winchester Model 1897s had a 'Feature' that does not appear on most other slide action shotguns: Slamfire.

After shooting a round, if you keep the trigger depressed, the shotgun will fire subsequent rounds every time the slide is cycled forward. This is seen by many as a safety concern, but to a Doughboy in the trenches of World War 1, this was very desirable.

Slamfire is also possible on Winchester Model 12s.

Cool fact!

Interesting fact!

Thanks for sharing that.

I had read about that years ago but didn't know that this was the model.

Where can I get a copy of this file for a 1:1 test build?

Blowing me away...

I took a look at the pdf.

No thought has been made to page optimization, the layout of parts wastes a lot of paper.
Parts are spread across multiple sheets, where they could fit on one sheet.
Detail parts should have been joined/merged to reduce the part count even more.
A white model pdo file would help in assembly if there are no directions/instructions created.
More work should have been done on cleaning up, and reducing the parts and page counts.

Nice kit!

I printed this kit out...a lot of pages! The kit looks promising.

I never heard back about the instructions I requested in the private message but I am still willing to make a parts sheet for you, if you'd share the pdoi?

Any plans for a build thread? Any pics of the finished kit?

Just let me know. If I can get the PDO I can help you with the build directions.
