Hello Joon Kwon,
The technique you used to produce this crusty, rusty, dusty old truck is exceptional. Question: Did you learn the process from another master, or did you develop it yourself? Mike Last edited by Michael Mash; 08-02-2021 at 11:54 AM. Reason: Correct Spelling |

Hi Rifleman,
Thanks for the comments ! Hi Mike, Using pastel powder for weathering is not something special nor new. I was looking at some build reports (paper modeling and also some plastic models) where weathering using pastel was shown and decided to give it a shot. Yes, it is time consuming process and it took time for me to reach some point where I can control the level of ‘dirtiness’ and color combination. In my latest work, I am trying different weathering method that uses diluted brown/dark yellow acrylic paint and black oil paint to create rusty and oil stain feel. The fastest way to get used to it is… just try it and find your style. |

Your "weathering & wear" techniques can be seen throughout. Outstanding.
I find it fascinating to watch the way truck and vehicle builders make tires. Best Regards, Mike |
