Little Holt Tank
A little project I did a few months back. not exciting, but fun to build. Included a magnetic jig I used, note the surface was a grilling spatula that worked very well since it is flat, firm and a multi-use tool. Barrels are wood dowel.

I think they used a small mechanic as the driver. It was powered by a motorcycle engine. The only known images of the vehicle were on the occasion of a visit by Col. Swinton to the Holt plant at Stockton, CA in 1918. Swinton was in charge of training tank crews in 1916 and was a relentless self-promoter as the inventor of the tank.
If anyone's interested I've got some images of the original - somewhere - might take some digging out. Regards, Charlie |

This is my kit. I'm very pleased to see someone build it. Great job, Dave Pete. Here's a video of the tank "in action" One-Man Tank Demonstrated (1914-1918) - YouTube

Dear Don:
You answered my question about where the tank hatch was. With my new printer I have printed it to 1/35 scale and I have Some 1/35 scale military minature figures that I will modify and paint for a Diaramia. now to look for road pavement to print in the scale Thanks, Miles Any bets that the motor cycle motor muffler was piped through the barrel
