I love any kind of Ground Support Equipment and this jammer thingy is very cool. I was on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam conflict and remember seeing most of the bombs being loaded by hand. Five or six guys could lift a 500 pound bomb using metal bars inserted into each end of the bomb. They laughingly referred to them as "hernia bars".

I finally finished the jammer model and got it published by Ecardmodels: DGA Jammer.

I posted pictures of these models yesterday on FB USAF Weapons, and USAF AGE Veterans pages, and have already gotten hundreds of 'likes'.

Assuming that there will be sales beyond the paper modelling community, we made the instructions pretty explicit and offer them as a free download so that someone can see what our hobby is all about. Of course the same instructions are also included with the download of the models.

The three-speed Jammers were the best... Especially for thrill seekers. Pop the clutch and you were instantly doing a wheelie. Somehow it was very common for the governors to be 'broken' and the result was a vehicle capable of say 40 mph! The shift lever was to the right of the seat and was not something that could prevent the drivers from sliding off during a high speed left turn. At speed, the front wheels were only momentarily on the ground as they bounced along. With rear wheel steering, and not much to hold on to, this made for an 'interesting' driving experience. There were no front brakes...

These 'defects' have been addressed over the years, and I understand that a modern jammer will do about 12 MPH. Jammer races are a fading piece of history.
