GIAT Le Clerc 1/25 Fly Model

Starting this one next. The text says it is based on Heller's 1/35 scale plastic model. I hope it's better designed than what I've heard of the Heller kit....

Thanks for checking in Don.

Got the formers cut out and assembled for the hull today. You will see that there is a colored piece (1A) that must be placed during this stage. It is too long and the part that goes under the top plate needs shortened to allow the piece to fit flush against the side of the hull.

The assembly is quite sturdy as is.

Skinned the top part of the hull tonight. It is printed as one large piece with three smaller parts to add in. The large piece was just too bulky so I cut the sides off. Glad I did that. Made life easier. Then tucked part 1b under the little point on the left side top depression and both 1c parts go on either side of the ramp down section to cover the vertical gap. Also threw in a picture of my edge coloring materials.

In order to ease future searches you could request the thread to be retitled as "...Leclerc..."

Bottom hull skin last night. Actually ended up cutting piece 2 into 6 pieces to improve fit. Diagrams are still not helpful or, in fact, present for this part.

I could. I'll leave that up to rickstef to consider.

Maybe retitled to "Replica of Expensive French MBT" would be better? 😏😜

Parts 3 through 8. Except part 5. There are no part 5's.

Some trimming necessary of parts 3 and 4 but nothing earth shattering.
