1/50 PzKpfw III Ausf. N | Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 501, Tunisia 1943
It's been over a year since I built anything. Today I'm making a return, with my newest model on which I have worked for the last two weeks.
The subject is a PzKpfw III Ausf. N of Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 501 (501st Heavy Panzer Battalion), Tunisia 1943. These tanks were assigned there to provide support for Tigers which were heavy, slow, and easy to outmaneuver. I based this project on ABC 1/87 scale Pz. III. This was the starting point. I had to resize it to 1/50 and repaint into markings of the unit mentioned above. The tracks are taken from the WoT model of Panzer III. They have great-looking textures. In fact, my PzKpfw III Ausf. N is mostly a scratchbuilt, due to work I had to do entirely on my own. Designing the running gear from zero, modifying parts of Ausf. J to Ausf. N, designing something like 80% of all details... That's a lot. Maybe one day I'll build a Tiger from the same unit.

Thanks.
As I have a little more time recently, I can work on some models. Soon I'll probably start another small project.
