The construction continues but not without some hitches:

I forgot to consider the thickness of the acetate used for the glass, and this resulted in some swelling on the window pillars.

Another mistake was gluing the inner panel to the outer top, which resulted in the difficulty of effectively rounding off the rear of the roof.

The next step will be to mount the windshield.
See you later

Latest update on model construction:

I mounted the windshield with little difficulty.

The dimensions of the German vehicle are similar to the Soviet NKL 19/41.

For all intents and purposes both were powered by the same Shvetsov M11 engine,

Some small improvements: the horizontal door, the footrests, the wipers, the MG-42 and the machine gun mount.

The mount is too crude, I think I'll replace it.

The next steps are the main door and the roof door.

Bye,

First time looking in. As always, your texturing is absolutely beautiful and personally inspiring to me. Top shelf design of an interesting and unusual subject.

Thanks for the compliments Rifleman and Rockpaperscissor.

The model is taking shape.
Propellerschlitten WH-WL scale1:25-img_20230407_170913_1_resize.jpg
The rear ski beams are not yet balanced by the suspension and give way under the weight of the model and the front skid mount seems outsized without the two horizontal support arms.

here is the comparison with the Soviet snowmobile:

Further updates:

The door hinges have been replaced.
I mounted the headlights and their supports.

Next step:
redesign the Shvetsov M11 engine, which I had already made for the aerosane NKL 16/41, to adapt it to the new crankcase.

we will hear back in a few days,

matt77.

Another small step has been taken: propeller guards were a concern.
The problem appears to have been solved, but the bill will be collected after inserting the motor mount!

Propellerschlitten WH-WL scale1:25-img_20230420_162955_resize.jpgPropellerschlitten WH-WL scale1:25-img_20230420_163411_resize.jpgPropellerschlitten WH-WL scale1:25-img_20230420_163230_resize.jpg

The next problem to solve will be how to realistically build the five cylinder heads of the Shvetsov M-11 engine.

Bye,

matt77
