M1070 + m1000

Now begins my built saga of this major project. My hope is to build on Jaffro's experience building the same model a couple years ago. Hope I can do it justice.

I will start with the trailer wheels because that's the ickyest part of this build. Assembling stacks of parts now. Unfortunately the truck shares part numbers with the trailer so it's taking some effort to figure out which 97 through 109 parts are actually for the trailer.

It certainly is a major project!

I hope to see it someday in person.

Army Magazine Article on EHETS

Greg -

The Association of the U.S. Army must have heard about your project since they ran an article about the M1070+M1000 in the current (March 2023) issue of Army magazine.

Thanks Don!

I'm up to my eyeballs cutting out wheel parts for the trailer. May be a bit before I have any good updates.

I'm amazed at your skill at cutting circles and rings.

Me, too. I used to watch with fascination as Greg scissored out perfect circles and disks as fast as he could cut. Looks like you have lotsa circles and disks in that stash, Greg.

Ok, I think I got all the trailer wheel parts sorted. I was short some laser parts for a few of the printed ones and had extra laser parts for one of the groups. I also spotted a few laser parts that I had missed that I had already laminated the colored parts onto other cardboard.

Confused? Maybe. Worried? A bit (it is an Angraf kit).

I need a business trip break. Oh yeah I got one next week. Maybe I'll work on other projects instead the rest of this week....
