Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer, Micro Model, Scale 1:35

I love the Hetzer.
I too played WoT, and this was one of my earliest and favorite tanks.
I had that shorty, big diameter cannon barrel on it, and blew other big tanks away.
Deadly once you get the aim.
But it definitely took a lot of practice...not having a turret, having to turn the entire tank to aim!

Not a fan of the paint scheme on this model, but your build is FANTASTIC.
Even at 1/25 scale, this model must be pretty small.
The Hetzer is so small.

Surprising that the crew can fit inside. Must have been scary for them.
Crew of four in this thing! But I guess its less than a Sherman!

Here in Ontario (Canada) we have a Hetzer at my local Army base.

The Jagdpanzer 38 was not particularly popular with the crews because it was very cramped in the small fighting compartment. The swivel range of the gun was only 16 degrees (11 degrees to the right and only 5 degrees to the left), which often required lateral aiming with the whole vehicle. To do this, the engine had to be running at the ready, which increased the risk of being detected.

The rings around the barrel near the muzzle suggest this is in fact a G-13 post war model. They have removed the baffle to make it represent the J-38t.

This Hetzer was recovered from Europe during or soon after the Second World War.
It is an early production model with twelve-hole idlers.
Its main armament has a screw thread for a muzzle brake, and appears to be jammed at full recoil.
It was built in May 1944 and has the chassis number 321042 (source: L. Archer).

I didn't know Hetzers were produced post war. Interesting.

The spat on the barrel is definitely different from that G13 in your post.

You manage to do precision work with that Olfa circle cutter!

Glued the complete component to the hull and then added a small support wheel for the chain.

Here I have messed up, because I did not think!
You have to put 2 parts 54 behind each other and then put a part 54a on it so that the two parts 54 are connected. Then glue on the remaining part 54a. This creates an overlap for gluing again. I did not do this thoughtlessly, but simply glued part 54 with 54a. But how do you get 2 chain segments together? Not at all. So I scraped off 5mm of the upper part 54a. The same with the second chain segment made, only then from the part 54. Now I had an overlap to glue. Great idea? But now 5mm is missing from the chain length. But now comes a McGyver trick: extend with cardboard! Problem solved, because later the aprons cover the mishap. Saved!

You are doing fine work Maxe with both model and english. Carry on. I have that model and others from that series but I have no patience for armor. I'm glad you do so I can enjoy pictures of your work haha.
