I see what you did there. I had to remind my daughter this past weekend of the time I out ran her when I was in my 40's and she was a teen.... Probably couldn't do that today. Greg

The floor, parts 19 and 20. The diagram is the ONLY picture that shows how the front cab floor is supposed to look like. Yeah, "really helpful", not.

You are taming it nicely, Dan |

Built up the main body tonight. No useful diagrams. I had to build up.the cab area to figure out the firewall placement. But I had to build up the cargo area to figure out the cab placement so I could figure out the firewall placement. To get the cab oriented to attach to.the cargo area, I had to glue the cargo walls to the floor. What a mess. This model is frustrating.

Greg,
This is really amazing considering the instructions. And I thought the Karas was a tad iffy...Dan |

This looks really good, Greg! As always, you are overcoming the shortcomings in fine style. Another silk purse coming up.
Incidentally, I have a very slight hands-on experience with the M-3. The Maryland Wing of the Civil Air Patrol owned one that was used as a mobile command post during SAR searches and exercises. I was active in the Parkville Squadron 1954 - 1958 and had occasion to hang out in and around that vehicle from time to time. As I recall, it was painted USAF dark blue. Don |

That's looking really nice.
I haven't figured out whether it's more infuriating to have nearly zero instructions or the mixed variety where there are some sections detailed in microscopic detail but an adjacent section in the same model where there are no or misleading instructions. Charlie |

Thanks all for the encouragement!
Dan, the Karas is well above the instruction level of this thing. Don, there's an idea, spray it dark blue when it's done.... Charlie, thanks for the kind words. I can work with just pictures and/or well marked parts locations on adjacent parts, just not absence of both.☺️ even well done written instructions are a godsend. But those are not well done for this kit either. Greg

Interior. Many issues with poor part design, part numbering and color.
The seat backboard mounts are supposed to extend the whole way to the back but were too short. Seat back pads for the front side seats were too long for the "humps" they were to glue onto. Seat bottom mounts were too long and not spaced right for the Seat backs. Front seats had no pedestals so I had to make some so they did not sit directly on the floor. Steering wheel and all Seat cushions were printed in tan. As you can see they are not tan anymore. Greg

Quite a bit done today. Only guns, pintle hook and touch-up painting left.
The gas cans are horrendous. They did not fit as designed. I tried to make new parts derived from the old parts. I still ended up with stubby, crummy looking cans. They can stay that way. The rest of the parts were a mix of poorly done parts, no diagram conundrums, and a few (very few) parts that fit fine. Glad this one will be done soon. Greg
