St Chamond Tank - landships II in 1/100 Scale
My third model of 2024 is the WW1 St Chamond tank "Early" version belonging to the 1st Bty AS31 unit, the tank named "Fantomas". The St Chamond was one of the first assault tanks in the world used primarily in the anti-artillery role. These monsters weighing 23 tons were not suitable for entrenched fields but in the open field they had significant advantages. Landships 2 model designed by Wayne McCullough in 1/72 scale, reduced to my standard 1/100 scale. The photo with the Ford AAA truck (which is incomplete) in the same scale gives an idea of the size.
