3ds max to paper models??
does any1 know how to unwrap max models to pieces 4 paper models?? or is there some other method??

I think pepakura can read that kind of files to make the flat patern Pepakura Designer

i'm just learning max myself, but one of the texturing utilites has a capability to unwrap/unfold your design for exporting (as an image file), if i can figure it out i'll shoot you a message.

You have to make the model 'work' using MAX and export to .3ds.
The good thing is that you can finalize your UVW Textures in Max and the .3DS file will retain that information. I have the old Pepakura and it allows you to change the textures. |
