Make your own paper coffin?
Sort of, it's in small python scripts atm, only does the 3D model with UVs and textures, no unfolded model yet, still some data to figure out before it can do it all in one go. It's not a hard format to understand, actually it's nearly identical to the old one, with all it's horridness (plus a few more), it's just done in binary. |

sorry codex34...I really didn't care about the .pdo converter...lol...
it was just a "change the subject moment", because discussion was leaning towards the overly serious again...but it didn't work! lol maybe I should have resorted to the hippos? now...back to paper funerals.... Caskets, Tombstones...heck, what about fullsize Card Crypts!...for the whole Family! "the family that sticks (paper) together, sticks (for eternity) together"

Well, since you brought this up, for your or anyone future reference. If you have PDF Creator Pro(bought from Staples) or DocuCom PDF Driver(I forgot where I got this from). Select that in printer "Name:" and check "Print to file", then "OK" and print away. It will save and convert your .pdo into .pdf and put it in any folder you want. You can then open the .pdf in photoshop and edit it.

"now...back to paper funerals....
Caskets, Tombstones...heck, what about fullsize Card Crypts!...for the whole Family!" There should be different categories. For a Green burial, acid free paper is a must, even Papyrus. For cremation, the paper should be doped with some fire enhancing catalyst thus requiring less fuel and making it greener. I also think the "Missing Person" motif on Cardboard Milk boxes would work rather well. You wouldn't have to look at a dead person, just at the picture, or better yet, a big yellow happy face, and if the person liked milk, the brand of their favorite brand milk on the sides. You could also offer different religious sentiments, printed on both sides, (in case there was a mistake and the person wasn't that dead, it would give them something to read for a while) and would save on paper. Christian one side, Hebrew the other, or Hindu, Muslim, whatever combination worked, (though the potentially undead might be offended but probably couldn't read that well in the dark anyways). IMHO. |

Burial! Paper modelers don't do burial. Paper modelers get cut up into little pieces and use as compost for trees, to insure that the next generations of paper modelers get trees to cut down to make more models.

Wow! Here I was just trying to show the absurdity of this by being
absurd. I've even got some old Halinski printed models I bought from Moduni that have something printed in red to the effect that they can't be sold out side of Poland. Are these legal to keep? |

Quote:
No, you must return them personally and report to the Police in Poland. If that is exceeds the face value of the models, I hereby sentence you to 10 years of paperbuilding to be served in your home. and as a lesson, you must build the models you have in your possession, then display them, here, and live long, and proper. |

ok folks - this thread has run its course. However I do think the topic of paper coffins deserves its own thread so maybe start one up. I think they make great halloween decorations etc etc If someone has something REALLY NEW to add to the copyright conversation please PM it to me and I will consider reopening the thread.
Thanks to all involved here for keeping things civil, its rare for a copyright thread to remain that way for for this long! Its just been struggling to get off topic/stay on topic for quite some now. Thanks Chris
