A very good build Isaac despite the obvious fit problems with
the kit. I like the design of the Gripen aerodynamically. Looking forward to your next build. One question if I may. Have you built the Hobby Model Mig-25 or the F-105?......Ron |

Ron No I have not built either of them. The F-105 looks interesting though and is probably much simpler with its cylindrical fuselage. I did build the GELI versions many years ago ( really a very simple model OK for when I was a kid ). Taking a break this evening from building, but I got most of the A-7 pieces cut out and laid out. Thanks Isaac |

one last thing
I need to assemble the pitot tube to the nose. Got a bit lazy. Also started on the A-7, so my mind is on that project.

Great job! The fuselage is tricky on the Gripen. I hope that I do as well on the MM kit.

Isaac,
You mentioned earlier in the thread that you had previously built the Hobby Model #27 J-35F Draken. Could you tell me if it was a better fit on the parts than this model?.....Ron |

The Draken is better, but there were gaps on the bottom where the delta fits to the fuselage. Also around the engine intakes. However, it may be an assembly technique with the inlets. I think the trick is to dry fit everything ahead of time and either cut back or add pieces to make them fit. I posted a picture of it on my galery http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...ser=12710&sl=i Isaac Last edited by Isaac; 12-16-2010 at 11:42 AM. |
