By now the vertical tail is dry around the edges and you can stuff a piece of toilet tissue inside it to fill it out to shape.

First cut out the struts and glue them to blank card.

Next, when the aft of the fuselage is dry, cut the line where the horizontal tail goes.

This is where you will think I am wierd

How to get a little beaver-100_1418.jpg
A word of explanation: I print my models on an HP 4600 laser and it gives the models a semigloss finish. Dry glue has the same sheen. Most of my models are given to kids and I want them to hold up for at east a FEW DAYS. I have gotten into the habit of using my glue bottle like a tube of caulk. This method works well for me and I dont even see the glue when it is dry. Look for glue in the pictures at the end of this thread

Cut a slit in the middle of the rectangle on the bottom of the wings to accept the wing struts

Adjust everything so it is straight and then get the glue out.

The model is almost done - just need to put the wings on and a few accessories. This is where I will leave it tonight. I would be done right now except I spent the last hour posting this build thread and now it is time for bed.

Excellent build Jim! THis will come in quite handy. I notice you have some glue on your hand. Is that a new spa treatment?:p

Thanks for this very systematic and clear build explanation, Jim. It will be very useful to me.

LOL Willygoat,

That is a quirk of mine... I apply glue from the bottle to the bottom of my left thumb and then I use a pointy tool (kind of like a metal toothpick) to spread the glue on the model pieces.
