Roman's Sabres as X-mas Gifts

Hey guys,

I've got my family Christmas Party this weekend and in order to keep the peace I've build some of Roman's (der Kampfflieger) Sabres to give to all the little boys to play with so they will leave the grownups alone........... yeah right!

Anyway I Photoshoped the kits and increased the scale 150% to get a scale of 1/32 for both the F-86 and F-100. I also modified the models make them for flying by the boys. I added the wheel doors to the wings a forward fuselage. I also added additional internal formers and re-enforced the wings and tail surfaces with additional glue. Just to keep them from coming off from all the additional "G forces" that will be exerted by these young pilots.

I also want to say that both of these models up-scale very well and build even better.

Scaling up also allowed me to try out my new-ish Brother printer that is able to print on 11 x 17 ledger paper............ man this is something I wish I had a long time ago.

Anyway here's a picture of my gaggle of Sabres, hope everyone enjoys and I would like to wish everyone a "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays"!

Chris,

The first one (FJ-2 Fury 756) took a couple of days. This is why I knew the NATC was wrong on the the tail.

As I built more and became acquainted with the model, I can now build an F-86 in about a day. Waiting on the glue to dry takes the most time.

The F-100 takes a couple to complete.

Both models represent the planes very well and as with all of Roman's models go together very well.

great job! I built the Super Sabre twice in 1/33 and the Sabre once in 1/200. Nice designs and well built.
