Concur with the LND issues, although the Wings of Horus model looks pretty good. I started both, gave up on the LND (although it looks real pretty until you try to make the parts fit) and have the WOH model in a box somewhere - no construction problems, good fit, but another shiny object diverted my attention and I have not yet gotten back to it.
Just ordered all of Brunos Flycatchers, Seals, Gordons, and IIIFs. Eagerly looking forward to the Papermate and the gomidefilho masterpieces. Don |

No.122 Fairey Flycatcher MkI, Bruno's 100 series, reduced to 1/200
No.122 Fairey Flycatcher Mk I, originally 1/100, by Bruno, is now downscaled to fit in this seris of 1/200 navy planes. And some historical background, the Fairey Flycatcher was a British single-seat biplane carrier-borne fighter aircraft made by Fairey Aviation Company which served in the period of 1923 to 1934. It was produced with a conventional undercarriage for carrier use, although this could be interchanged with floats for catapult use aboard capital ships.
Some modifications were made, like medication tinfoil wraps to replace the tiny cylinders, machine gun barrels, one of the u/c horizontal struts and rigging. This time the rigging is a bit tricky cos there are vertical ones linking the flaps of the upper and lower wings. So pre-assembly preparation like perforation of holes on the wings were made before going forth with the build. Not very taut though, the rigging on most parts look okay and I'm really done with that until and unless I'm building another Flycatcher. So here are the pictures. I wasn't aware that the Flycatcher was smaller than the Sea Gladiator until now. The two were having a good time together spinning it away. Papermate |

This recent series of yours has sent me back to H.A. Taylor's Fairey Aircraft since 1915 (London: Putnam, 1974 and, I think, later reprinted by the Naval Institute Press).
