No problem with the colours on this one papermate! Good to see a Vietnam War version of the 'Spad' too.

Thanks, wireandpaper for visiting. Here's some more update. Movable or posable flaps on wings, stabs and rudder are intended apart from the airbrakes. Hope to get it done asap. Then comes the landing gears. Bombs and rockets under the wing may or may not be considered as they are really really hard to do at this scale of 1/200. Conventional ways won't work and I'm thinking of rolling paper tubes instead. Any input please in this regard?

Don't know if a 1/100 idea will work in 1/200, but these rockets are rolled paper tube with shaped, sanded and painted wooden toothpick tips. Could be more rounded off for a bomb nose.

Toilet bomb, that's interesting and it's there in the kit. Maybe building it or them all under the wing, hahaha! The problem is whether there's enough space to spread them out side by side.

No.162 Murph's Skyraider Vietnamese Air Force, Vietnam War
No.162 in this series is Murph's Skyraider Vietname Air Force during the Vietnam War.
I have made some modifications including movable or posable flaps on main wings, stabs and rudder. Air brakes on both sides of the fuselage are also added. The cockpit canopy was set in semi open position, not intended originally (the rear part was ruptured during handling and I didn't want to re-do it all). As regards arms under the wing, a huge tank is installed and a toilet bomb attached under the left wing for interest's sake. Phew what a job on this little stuff. Bombs are being considered but they are really really small to do and thus be added later on if I could do it. As I love props that can spin or rotate, it is added as enhancement. Finally, I have converted a cake box that has six squares into one large box to contain my 1/200 collection. Now, there are 8 of them to protect against dust also as storage saver. |
