Vickers "Vimy" / Modelik / 1:33

Hello everyone.

I present the model that I will participate in the next contest is organized in Barcelona on 15 to 23 this month.

I have little experience in aircraft and have chosen this model by having fewer parts and that the most complicated, the tensioning steel wings, is very similar to the cables of ships.

Less mistranslated words, more pictures.

Un saludo

Great well executed start. This should prove to be a rather large model
due to the size of the real plane. Looking forward to the progress of this
build. Wish you well in the contest.....Ron

Nice start indeed. I look forward to seeing it complete. I have considered buying this model but did not realize it was so large.

Thank you very much everyone for your welcome, the model is very large, I think more than 60 cm wingspan, but the model is very simple with few parts, all that is going to do more complicated are the tensioning steel wings .

I forgot to mention that the model shows the revised amount that first crossed the Atlantic Ocean nonstop, I find it strange to see the wheel of the nose does not touch the ground.

In the pictures I've found or have nothing in the nose or have a skateboard, but the wheel ... I just found this photo of a wheel in the nose.

With the following text.

Model also has no military anagrams, or machine guns or weapons.

This rapidly advancing

Un saludo

Hi Chapuzas,
This is a very clean and precise build. How did you do the turnbuckles and fastenings for the wires? Are they included in the kit or were they scratch-built. They must be the most effective representations I have ever seen on a model.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy modelling,
Bernie

Hi Chapuzas,
Only one and a half week ago I had a little vacation in Ireland, and discovered that the landing site of Alcock and Brown ( the plane you are building) , the first Atlantic -crossing, was only a couple of miles away from where I was staying, but after seeing the road sign I was intrigued and a couple of day later we visited the landing site,
here 's my pick and how the guys landed.. It's a small world..
