Thanks for everybodies help so far...
The wings and tail are ready to go !!!
I have based these on a nice three quarter top view that show a bit more chord sweep and span (poetic license !)

Here`s my custom built Dick Dastardly...it`s a 1/144th scale card model to suit the wings of glory (initially wings of war) board game.
The exhausts are made from solder...the whole model is under one inch in length
