Funny how this one aircraft can make so many connections. Bob's dad helped build it. Mike worked on it at Shewmaker AFB. Mic-chan saw it in Japan and I watched it fly overhead in Kentucky. This model has an RG tailcode to represent the F-101 as deployed during the Pueblo crisis. I also worked as an engineering intern at McDonnell-Douglas in the fall of 1972 on the F-15 project.
Mike What H.S. did you attend? I went to DeSales class of 71. Curt |

As an intern, does this imply you also went to Parks College?

F101 Voodoo = Me.262 HJ III Wing mated with P1109/P1112 fuselage.
The engines chosen (J 56 or J59 -R's???) never really were up to the task, designers' hopes notwithstanding. Nonetheless, the F101 remains an aircraft family I find very interesting. Respectful Regards, Uyraell. |
