Very good news, Mike, and a very good job. I'm sure the upload won't be a problem. While you're at it, don't forget to include an image of the cockpit section, and a link to this thread.

Will you offer this add-on also to Chris and Ecardmodels? Would be really great to have that in connection with each version of the Allison Mustangs, for all to download there as well!

Leif

Creating diagrams is a little beyond my skill level...
Download is up, to late for the link .
If Chris wants it, he can add this page to the models he offers - that's fine with me.

That is a great download - a complete new page adding to the kit and solving the problem with the floor. Straightforward, effective solution. Congratulations, Mike! - Leif

Very nice work Mike! Would this also work in one of the Air Dave re-colors? Perhaps that question would be best answered by Dave I suppose?

Curt,
Hard to say. I don't know if it would be worth it as Marek told me that he is almost ready with redesigned P-51B/C Mustangs. I wrote to him with my solution to the cockpit but he didn't respond yet if he is interested in my file or he is going to do it himself.

Mike are you going to make this whole plane, or working on fine tuning only cockpit issues? That a good 1/33 model of this plane has not been available already is a surprise..

Whole plane - as long as the pilot fits into the cockpit I consider the work there done
Here is the proof that work (slowly) continues. YB had it right - glue the outside and inside skins for the rear of the cockpit and then glue them together to the fuselage. Much easier this way.
Leif put a note on the cover of the model that this plane did not have camera installed, but the camera is included and it just looks to darn good to skip it

I agree, the camera just looks too good not to install. I would have done the same thing. Excellent cockpit, really good to see how it works out! - L.
