Wow, Leif, what a duck. Too bad it was never built.

Yesterday I combined wings and fuselage

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6224.jpg

and the vertical stabilizer

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6226.jpg

and mounted all the control cables

Furthermore, the fins under the wings were attached.

The left engine nacelle was a bit tricky, and I hope the other one will be better.

I managed to make the other engine nacelle really better. Sometimes I think, I should always buy two of each kit. Then I can try things and have spare parts if something fails.

However .... the nacelles are mounted under the wings.

The last picture for today shows the struts that will hold the empennage.

Yesterday I built the canards

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_62401.jpg

and attached them to the fuselage. I used a jig again to keep them horizontally aligned.

The canard is fixed with tension wires.

Next came the undercarriage. It's made of 3 struts strengthened with 0,8mm wire.

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6256.jpg Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6255.jpg

Then I noticed, there are no marks where the wires should be stuck in.

The same is valid for the engine nacelle. I think it fits quite well like that.

So, the undercarriage is ready.

I aslo started with the engine block today,

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6264.jpg

and cut out the engine cowling and painted it silver inside.

The first picture shows the parts for one Cylinder. The inner two parts are glued together shifted so a have a small gluing tag.

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6267.jpg Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6271.jpg

The other parts are glued around.

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6273.jpg Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6275.jpg

This gives the first cylinder of seven.

Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6276.jpg Focke-Wulf F19a Ente (Duck) 1930, 1:50, Reimers-Modellbaubogen-Verlag-img_6278.jpg

To make the engine cowling, I shoved it into a jig and applied superglue from the inside.
