Talking Boeing P-26 Peashooter 1/100 Scale

Hi People.

Is my last 1/100 build. A Marek P-26, I reduced to 1/100 scale, and add rigging, funny kit and popular modelling subject. This USAAC machine is destroyed in Pearl Harbor attack...

Comparation with Boeing model 281 and P-26

And funny size comparations...

Regards my friends!

I didn't realize how small your model is until the last photo. Exceptional job in this tiny scale. when building this small, do you use the unseen kit parts like fuselage bulkheads, etc, or do you leave them out and make use of glue strips?

I use full parts of original kits like formers, bulkheads. My builds in this scale is made with 120g filecoat (filiset) paper, for formers I use same paper in 240g thickness. I not use connector strips or but straps...

Beautiful little P-26. I'm a little jealous, as I could not get the exhausts to fit in 1/33 and you made it work in 1/100! Well done.

...superb modeling at that scale; I'm a little bit wondering about the colour; remembering the Peashooters at that time more colourful ...

With lovely greetings

Thank's my friends, for you kind words.

Wag, I remenber you wondeful Job in P-26 in 1/33 scale, for made my exausts I use this technique

I fix in heavy workbench clamp a needle an turn the piece around. I use this tip for engine cylinders and exausts...

Wilfried, in the end of carrer all P-26's are painted in Olive Drab in Neutral Gray, the subject of my model is a P-26 of 18th PG destroyed in the ground by japanese in Pearl Harbor attack. But I have another kits more colorful and I intent build in the future.

Best regards!

Péricles
