Woah there big fella. Don't let something like a bit of a mess up get you too bent out of shape. Believe me, I know how frustrating it can get. I've stepped on two fully completed models that pressed my skill level to the max. The worst part, they got stomped less than 5 minutes after I finished them. Both before getting pictures done.

You can rebuild. It takes time and some extra patience yes, but You can do it. You are a master builder.

Aww, man what happened? Maybe its not too bad. Let us know, maybe we can help. I've come across a big mistake on more than one occasion that made me think the model was ruined, but after stepping away and thinking about it for a day or two, always find a way to recover the build.

Absolutely the way to go, Inky! I like to say that for every finished model I have on the shelves, there are usually 3 or 4 like it in the trash can....

Inky, The build has been awesome to watch, don't trash it! My Thunderfighter warped so bad I shelved it for almost two years. You can salvage it! I am very eager to see this finished, this is a model I have been thinking about buying....

Inky,

The SR71 is not an easy build!! and you are doing such a FANTASTIC job so far. PLEASE don't stop; stay on it... Let us know where you are having issues, and we can probably help.

Looking forward to your next post

The problem I had was when I was skinning the main upper body, I guess I was tired and the skin being so big, I misaligned it some were and wasn't paying attention, when I positioned the back part of it a kink formed down the whole thing.

I have cool down now and have decided to carry on with it. This time I am going to try and skin it piece by piece instead of the whole skin at once.

Thanks guys for the kind words and encouragement.

Awesome! Just carefully peel the misaligned skin off, reprint, and re-apply! No harm done.
