Did they paint the 109 in that scheme? I don't think I've ever seen a picture of a real one painted that way.

I found one model that kinda looks the same here: Igneous' Gateway. Click on the papermodels button and you get a list of models. Instructions are in Dutch though, but lots of pictures.

And here is an update on the Gigant. Finished the tail and 2 engines. By Jove, how do I hate petals... And I have to do 4 more! Props DO spin though!

And that is the 1x5cm 'cube' under the tail...

Update on the Gigant:

Engine parts for 2 of the engines:

And all engines attached BADLY:

And all the control horns, supports and the tail skid.

Added a few AA turrets/cupola's, but haven't taken pictures yet. I do have an additional question though.

Were the RATO's dropped after getting airborn to reduce drag? If they were dropped, did they just drop the whole rack or did that stay behind? If they dropped the racks, I'll need to make a few patches to cover the lettering on the bottom wings.

Still need to find a place to show it off though... If I even get it out of the door!

I think the RATOs were dropped post-takeoff...what appears to be padding on the nose of the RATO unit is actually a recovery parachute. I'd think that the racks would stay as they would need to be attached firmly to absorb the power of the rockets...

Okay, that means I need to do some editing, as the inside of the racks is plain white after you assemble it. The instructions/information never clarified that part, but they do speak of a tail parachute for ultra short landings. It is odd that FG didn't include more AA turrets/cupola's, other than the 2 provided (I printed this page twice).

I order a printer that will print a3 sheet size , today .
I'm thinking of building another gigant , but bigger .
The main thought was how to get it out the door , after it was built !

Bigger? Take it up to the roof and use it as a hang glider
