Question Wire mesh look?

Why does it appear that the print colors have a texture of some sort of fine wire mesh? Is it in the kit itself, or the photos?

I hadn't noticed that till you mentioned it - a kind of cross hatch effect

Thanks Texman that should settle it. It is wrong in the kit. Or I put it on the wrong wing due to my lack of being able to read Polish language, checked another build thread and that one was also wrong, oh well. I will paint them with Acrylic paint to make correction.

I scan my original kit at a very high resolution, then print two copies on 65# card, and 1copy on 20# copy paper. The pattern you see is most likely the printer not being able to get all the originals true depth of color. This kit is complicated and most likely I would never have gotten it built with just the original. The colors were corrected in adobe photoshop to match the originals as close as I could get them from the Cannon.

Not so fast a build, I take photos as I build then post the thread, this one would probably take a good week or more of full days.

Main Wings Again

These are the last of the main parts to go on the left and right wings.

Main Wings to Fuselage

I use foam board jigs to hold the model in position as I measure to make sure everything is level, you should always try to use the same reference points on a level surface every time you add a part that would induce twist in the model. I use these same jigs to hold the model as I add details and shoot it with Future clear coat. Foam board can then be tossed or reused. for other things.
