Hmmm, I have a shelf full of Mig-21s that could use some easy, attractive stands to increase shelf space......I see experiments next week!

Gerardo,
Can you post a close up of the stand? I'm very interested in this spray - wonder how would it perform as a runway surface....

Speckle Stone and this stuff are the same...they go down very rough.
Full of stringy splatters. So, a scale runway or tarmac would require lots of clearcoat to smooth it out a bit or maybe you could sand it down to a more level surface before you clearcoat. Specklestone and Krylon stone use a low gloss quick dry clearcoat. Its nice stuff. Its the same thing I use on my painted rocks!

Thank you Don, Ray, Mike, Dave...
Sorry Mike, I will upload a pic today. In the meantime, I concord with Dave as the Stone effect is very rough for a runway. But a little experimentation would work. I've seen more textures from Krylon. A visit to the local HD would give the options. |
