E Card Models Short C Flying Boat Coolangatta

Hi All,

Just wondering if any modelling mates have built this one? I've just finished a rather good book called Corsairville about the Short C's in Africa, which inspired me to buy this one from Chris's site.

But back to the model, one of the bulkheads (I hope this is the correct terminology), D, is missing. I presume I can double up on bulkhead C, but would appreciate any thoughts.

Over to you...

Cheers,

Graham

What you may be able to do is check the size difference of former/bulkhead C and E. if it is a large difference, you may need to scratch build one of your own.

If the sizes are really close or spot on, just print two of one of them and use it as D.....and judging by the shape of the hull/fuselage, I think it would be best to double print E.

I think LadNDad as a duty to rectify the problem as they are putting up the product for sale. I've been buying from them and have just bought this one and honestly I'm not quite happy with that. Would Chris ask them in stead of us double printing this or that part?

I've not tried the Lad and Dad Empire Boat largely because I had heard that it was a challenging build but I have built Gary Pilsworth's Short Mayo composite and although not a standard C Boat the Maia dose build up very nice,it's free too!

Thanks, Robert. That reminds me of OBP's prompt response to putting things right in no time, like the A-10 and stabilizer part in OV-10 Bronco California Fire Dept. Perhaps that's why OBP products are so popular bec of this "after-sale service".

Thanks all for you help, and Gixerg, your probably right about doing Mr Pilsworth's first. If i can get my head aound the hull, I might even pop some pics up. Have to say too, that it's big.
Cheers G
