DC – 3 Digitally version of Alan Rose's cardbord model
Today I would like to begin my building report on
the new digitally version of Ruben Andre Martinez Arias on the basis. of the legendary model of Alan Rose. The building report shows step by step the development of my beta model. Besides, I follow the steps which are described in the "History and Insturctions Book" with text and sketch diagrams. Because these assembly diagrams and instructions are very claer I only add some photos of the particular building construction being in progress. First some pictures out of the „History and Instructions Bock.“ |

If possibly, I will show in each case the original step of the construction manual,
the belonging assembly diagrams and one or several photos of my model. Step 1 – part 1 |

You are doing a fine job with this.
What weight of paper are you using for this model? Cheers, Tom |

I used cardboard of 200 g/m ˛
Cardboard of 240 to 250 g/m ˛ would be even better, Adolf |

Your building reports are very clear, and with great photos. I love to follow your reports, and i don't have any doubt this will be another useful guide to anyone who wishes to build this DC-3.
Thanks for your help during the process, and for your suggestions and corrections. I'm sure this thread will be great to follow.

Thank you Adolf for your information. I have gone to my local printer and he has a supply of 250 g/m ˛. I have done a test on a sample piece and it has worked well so I am going back to get a good stock of it.
Cheers, Tom |
