Great job so far, Billy! I'll be watching this one with interest. You've also helped inspire me to get back to working on my B307 project. Speaking of which, while searching for additional reference on the 307 (and early B-17's), I found this page; Aero Vintage Books: 2008 B-17 News Highly recommended reading for any B-17 fan. I still haven't read all of the archives, and am seeing pictures and learning things I'd never seen or known before.

Great new Scott! I've been trying to patiently wait for that airliner. THe B-17 link was great by the way. I found some connections to the 2 that are here in Nebraska. Good stuff.

Thank Scott, Nice link, I always love some background information when I build a model, there was at least on picture of the B299 I did'nt see before
Here's some progres; I have added internal formers, the kit does'nt have them, and the Red River paper is thinner and lighter than the normal stuff i work with. Some more detail on the riveting.. It was a bit of a guess if it would work, but it looks good, specialy when you don't over-do it (that's a 5x5cm cube in the corner)
BTW, does anybody knows what scale it is? could not find it on the(new) FG-site

Great model, and I always liked the Red River silver paper for factory fresh aircraft! Especially with round head rivets!
Just one remark, the little round window in the glazed nose, isn't that the bombers aim window? Shouldn't it be pointing downward? It seems, looking at the lettering "Boeing" on the nose, that it now looks upward. Anybody with more light on this?

Hello Scon10,
the round "window' is the place for the gun-turret, I still have to build it.
the bomberaimwindow is the triangel-shaped one on the bottom
