The model of the Zlin 526 was destroyed a few years ago during a move.

I decided to build it again since I still have the scans.

The design of that model is very simplistic and lacks detail and if I recall, not all the parts fit well.

The other Zlin 50 was given as a present and I am considering another build as well.

For now, I am concentrating on the other plane in progress ( SAAB Tunnan ).

Exclamation Remaining parts

Here are the original parts I retained from the original build. The rest was not useable.

I plan to reuse the canopy, seat and the landing gear.

Exclamation New build

I did a quick repaint ( really I brought back the red colors since the scanner turned it all pink ).

I then printed it on my new cardstock ( which I will not use again since the surface is damaged easily ).

Unfortunately this paper does not like to be rolled or bent too much and looked wrinkled.

In any case here are some of the steps in the construction

I was reminded again how badly the parts fit ( mostly butt joined construction ).

and the final product.

It is one of my worst build!

However, this model is intended to be given again and hung high enough so none of the issues will show up.

That's all

You certainly overcame the poor-fitting parts issue. The model looks great, and I enjoyed seeing the steps of the construction.

I agree with Don, you overcame the fit issues. The colour looks pretty good too.
