The Flying Dutchman [PH-TAU][1/50]

It was time to do this one. And I promptly forgot the size of it, but it is shiny and my first metal surface one. The kit is the Paper Trade one, I bought it last year in Nieuwegein at the IPMS there.

Going per the instructions, here's the first fuselage section:

If anyone has tips and photo's of this model, please share, I can use the advice!

Finished the next two sections:

So far, so good, though the formers are slightly undersized, but not by a startling amount.

Excellent work so far.

Very smooth and clean joins between the fuselage sections. Precise work all around.

You reallly yave to be careful with it though, the paper is very thin, i think even 160gsm is thicker...

I do have thoughts of going to the Aviodrome in Lelystad to see the Connie there. Preferably when she has a engine startup day!

Here are the photo's of part 5 and 6, no problems encountered. I included a shot of the bottom seam, best one I ever made...

I am a bit confused about the instructions on part 9 to 16. Could someone explain that, please?
